Tuesday

Bible school was lots of fun with all the kids. The RPC students are all becoming great teachers. The hospital team is ongoing. It's quite a job going on up on the third floor. The old storage area is being converted into a more permanent space for inventory and supplies. New wall, roof, weather proofing...and cleaning! Another team set out for the hills to mix and set a cement floor. That's a long drive in the rain, but mission accomplished. Chulumal 1 tried hard to finish the house. Lots of hurdles to jump without enough wood or hardware. It is almost completed and we will certainly celebrate with the new homeowner by the end of Wednesday. Chulumal 2 had a stove to deliver and build. Tomasa was waiting for us. Again with a few missing pieces, yet it will be hot and cooking by Wednesday. We also have a little cement job to do there. We are short on muscle for our schlepping. The girls attempted to carry these bags of concrete. Giggles and 6 hands, they moved it! I have made the executive decision that girls will not move any more. Too heavy! We moved onto Chulumal 1 site to finish up the job. The rain came down and held us up a bit, but it's getting there. A stop for bread. Drop off the Pray America guys and Cabbie Snoddy was done for the day. Dinner couldn't come soon enough for the hungry work crew. We had the pleasure of The Munoz family at dinner. Pam and Jose work with schools that our members sponson students at and the schools we visit with VBS. What a fabulous day!
