Happy Tuesday,
We had a super productive day today! We finished up VBS today at the Chichi school and the Chulamal school. We donated several laptops to the two schools and they were beyond grateful! Thank you to everyone who donated these laptops will be put to very good use.
We had some very hardworking crews today. A huge shout out to the painting crew at the Chichi school. They painted from 8:30am until 4:30pm and made great progress at the school!
The next crew was at the first Pray America house finishing up the trim and the door. Brad, Ben and I had just realized that our work site did not have water and we were really thirsty. then about 5 min later the little girl of the house we were at told us to follow her and we went into her house and her mother came out and handed us two cokes and a bottle of water. Such a blessing!
The next crew was the Pray America site #2 and that crew did an amazing job. They began the house from the ground up and they got all but one wall up and were working on the door. They did amazing things with the few tools that they had.
The Banana plantation crew had been hoofing it week. The crew was working on concrete and patching holes for two families. This crew witnessed great need in this community and we have been praying hard for these families.
Ron from Pray America was our guest speaker at dinner tonight. He shared his amazing ministry and everything that he has done in Chichicastenango. He has a feeding program and feeds hundreds of people per week. They have a shoe factory that they make shoes for the school children. They have a dormatory for girls with special needs and they have done so much with starting out with so little.
We have been working hard and the students and the adults are all very tired.
